A: We work in limited production runs to maintain quality. A deposit secures your spot in the current build cycle.

A: Your build may move to the next production run, which can extend delivery timelines by several months.

Q: What woods do you use?
A: Solid black American walnut and solid white oak. Walnut gives a rich, warm tone with expressive grain. White oak reads crisp and classic.
Q: What are the Lani Dines design options?
A: One, two, or three brass inlays, a split top, or a channeled split top. All options are solid hardwood with real brass accents that run the length of the table.
Q: What edge profiles can I choose?
A: Straight edge for a crisp outline, or deep chamfer for a sculpted look with light and shadow.
Q: Is this veneer or solid wood?
A: Solid hardwood throughout. No veneers on tops, aprons, or legs.
Design and Customization
Q: Can I customize my table?
A: Yes. We build to order. During our design call we confirm size, wood, brass layout, edge profile, and finish so your table fits your space and style.
Q: Can you match other pieces in my home?
A: We can align tone and finish. Share a photo or reference and we will advise.
Q: Do you make matching pieces?
A: Yes. We offer matching benches, and we take commissions for credenzas, sideboards, desks, media cabinets, and music-inspired furniture.

Q: What size should I choose for my room?
A: As a simple guide, leave at least 36 inches of clearance around the table for chairs and movement. Tell us your room size and seating goals and we will recommend a length and width.
Q: What if the table does not fit?
A: Before building, we review your dimensions and layout. If you want help before ordering, reach out and we will size it with you.
Pricing and Payment
Q: How much does the Lani Dines cost?
A: It depends on the size, the wood and the top you choose. Request a quote and we will send our look book with current pricing. Every piece is solid hardwood, built to last for generations.
Q: How do payments work?
A: A deposit reserves your spot in the build schedule. Payments are made by bank transfer (wire or ACH), and we walk you through the details with your proposal.
Q: Why is the table more expensive than mass-market options?
A: You are buying solid hardwood, real brass, and heirloom construction from a small workshop in San Francisco. It is built to be repaired and handed down, not replaced.
Shipping and Delivery
Q: What is the lead time?
A: It depends on the piece and our current build schedule, and we confirm your timeline in your proposal. Every table is made to order and finished by hand, so we never rush the quality control.
Q: Do you ship outside the Bay Area?
A: Yes, across the United States. Local orders include in-home delivery and setup. For other regions we use experienced freight partners for white-glove delivery.
Q: How will my table be protected in transit?
A: We use padded, custom packaging and carriers who specialize in fine furniture.
