All proceeds benefit the three pillar projects of the Bob Moog Foundation: Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, the Bob Moog Foundation Archives, and the Moogseum, and will help the Moogseum remain resilient among the long-term financial challenges caused by Hurricane Helene.

The Eurorack system being raffled was curated by vector synthesis pioneer and modular synthesis educator Chris Meyer (Learning Modular). It contains modules by the following manufacturers: 2HP, Abyss Devices, AJH, Befaco, Cosmotronic, Dannysound, Doepfer, EMW, Five12, Frap Tools, Frequency Central, Happy Nerding, Instruō, Intellijel, Joranalogue, Knob Farm, Make Noise, Manhattan Analog, Modbap Modular, Moog Music, Mordax Systems, Nonlinearcircuits, Noise Engineering, Random Source, Rossum Electro-Music, Shakmat Modular, Steady State Fate, Synthesis Technology, Tesseract Modular, TLM Audio, WMD, Zorx. The keyboard interface was provided by Synthesizers.comand the cables were provided by Luigi's Modular Supply. The system was assembled by AVL Vintage Audio. Every component of the system was donated to the Bob Moog Foundation by the manufacturer.

Recently, the flooding caused by a hurricane in North Carolina devastated their office and the Moogseum. To help with their recovery, they’re auctioning off this cabinet, along with a selection of modules curated by Chris from Learning Modular.

This piece features crisp, hand-cut dovetails, just like my first cabinets, polished brass splined walnut light awning, along with multi-depth inlay work. The inlay includes the Foundation’s logo and an abstract profile of Bob Moog himself, crafted from spalted maple sourced from a tree felled in North Carolina.

The back panel showcases a photo of Bob, illuminated by an internal reflection plane connected to the main Chromaesthetic lighting system through special light reactive acrylic. This same lighting also highlights Bob subtly peeking through a rosewood spacecraft on the cabinet’s right side.

If you’re looking for something truly one-of-a-kind—something that will never be made again—and want to support an incredible foundation (not affiliated with InMusic), head over to their auction page and help them rebuild.
