El Jefe

Erik Needham

Erik Needham is a second-generation woodworker with a passion for creating furniture that blends timeless craftsmanship with modern functionality. From credenzas designed for turntables to recording desks built for seamless workflow, his work is rooted in a deep appreciation for music and design.

Operating out of the oldest dedicated woodworking space in San Francisco, Erik has evolved his craft from building modular synth cabinets to designing bespoke furniture that enhances the way people listen, create, and entertain. His work can be found in the homes and studios of influential musicians, filmmakers, sound designers, and producers—each piece built to be as enduring as the music it helps bring to life.

Apprentice & Keeper of the 'Rudy Eye'

Rudy Colón

Rudy Colón, a native Californian, has an unmatched eye for detail—better than Erik’s, if we’re being honest. Specializing in final finishing, assembly, and joinery, he brings an extra layer of precision to every build. He also gives each piece a final once-over—a process we call the ‘Rudy Eye’—making sure everything leaves the shop looking its best. His dedication to the craft and knack for keeping things running smoothly make him an invaluable part of Needham Woodworks.
